We all know Arnab Mondal the reliable man in the defence of ATK. But here is the man you know but the journey you did not.

Born in Behala, a neighbourhood based in kolkata, West Bengal,Arnab  started playing football at the tender age of 8 and joined the Mohammedan Sporting youth set up for three seasons before making it to the I-League with Prayag United. Two seasons with the purple brigade paved the way for the tough and uncompromising stopper back’s call-up to the India under-23 team. He impressed against Qatar in the 2012 Olympic qualifiers which prompted coach Desmond Bulpin to reportedly quip, “Keep an eye on this guy. He is one who will supersede all.”

Mondal joined East Bengal two seasons ago and in the continued absence of their burly import Uga Opkara due to injury, he became one of the mainstays of the red & gold defence and also starred in East Bengal’s Federation Cup triumph in 2012. His performances were rewarded with a place in the senior team. The Kolkata lad is currently one of the regulars on the India team sheet. Then in 2012 he joined the ATK squad and impressed many.

Started from the bottom now he is here.
Ready to rule everyone s heart.
We wish him luck  for the semis.
