ATK are back to winning ways and are back in their home turf to face a reeling Delhi Dynamos FC side at the Vivekananda Yuvabharati Krirangan, Saltlake Stadium, Kolkata.

ATK got hold of the much needed momentum and have also got their scoring boots on since the last few matches. With the addition of veteran legend, Robbie Keane upfront and ex-East Bengal striker, Robin Singh ahead of young Hitesh Sharma has increased more goal bound action. Portuguese sensation, Zequinha has continued to keep the opposition defense troubled enough with his sudden pace doubled with some emaculate skills providing deadly crosses across the box and also have hit some powerful shots on target every now and then. He’s been a menace out there increasing ATK’s chances throughout the games.

New addition ex-EPL player, Ryan Taylor has introduced some sheer quality in midfield soon he joined the starting XI. ATK now look much more deadlier from set-pieces.

Introduction of Anwar Ali, Ashutosh Mehta at the back has bolstered the defensive line along with Thorpe and Das giving the much needed confidence & solidarity. Goalie Debjit Majumder put up a strong performance last game, making some crucial saves after having faced immense criticism after the first few games, thereby rewarding ATK it’s much needed season’s first win.

On the other hand DDFC would like to change their fortunes hereon as they have been losing a streak of games on their home turf back to back. This away game can prove to be a boon is such dismal times. They are now placed bottom in the league standings which makes them desperately hungry for a win as soon as possible. Striker Guyon Fernandes can prove to be a threat upfront. While in the midfield Paulinho Dias can stitch in some quality balls for the attacking line and would look to keep the likes of Taylor and Thomas busy in the middle. Delhi will miss out on the services of their promising goalkeeper, Albino Gomes who succumbed due to an injury. Even their coach, Miguel Angel Portugal will have to sit out of the technical area due to the red card suspension he recieved in the last game. Delhi Dynamos will have to put all these behind and come out with some strong teeth if they are likely to counter the in-form ATK side who just hit their strides last game only.

Sheringham and his side will look to pounce upon all three points and win their first game in the Yuvabharati Stadium having lost against Pune FC in their inaugural encounter here in this season. Fans will be out in numbers backing their side ahead of the Christmas eve in the city in all red outfits cheering and making it a fortress where the players will get a feel of what its like to be at home after having played 3 back to back away games on the trot and put forward their A game out there tonight providing the impetus ahead in the tournament.
