Indian Super League franchise Atlético de Kolkata have need to sign Spanish midfielder Javier ‘Javi’ Lara ahead of their promising ISL – Season 3.
29 year old Montoro-born Javier Lara Grande, better known as Javi Lara, came through the local Córdoba CF youth set-up and played a few seasons for the Córdoba CF ‘B’ team with loan spells with CD Villanueva, Real Unión Club de Irún and Écija Balompié in-between.In 2007 he left Córdoba and became a journeyman with spells at UD Almería B, RSD Alcalá, Elche CF, CD Alcoyano, Valencia B, Lucena CF, CD Alcoyano, and SD Ponferradina in the lower leagues of Spanish football.
The last season midfielder Javi Lara spend at promoted La Liga side SD Eibar in top division and now Playing for his CD Tenerife he is doing well in midfield appearing 16 times with 1 goal and improved performance as midfielder.
He can spark of the team with his creativity to the set-up.
Under Habas‘ ATK he appears only for 6 games which include 10 shots 1 assist and one goal. Every times he played in ATK setup he influenced the team more often other in midfield. After Luis Garcia I think he could be the man for Atletico.
Current market value €1,50 Mill I don’t think Atletico management won’t miss out to sign him as ISL going tougher as season gone by. As he tweeted few times to show his interest to play for the Kolkata side yet.
Javi and Borja partnership might be the spine of this season’s ATK team. A strong competition is expected between him, Borja and Nato for the two central midfield position. Expect him and Borja to start before Nato.
A multi-faceted midfielder who operates from the left of the field, Lara has scored 22 goals in his career and is widely regarded as a fine spot-kick specialist. The Red and White’s newest season addition like to have a punt from long range as well, and ATK will be eager to link up with the Spanish medio, who can add a spark of creativity to his squad’s set-up.
